What to expect from a Snow Day at UWE? – What services are still available and what help is there for me?

ACCOMMODATION SERVICES
The Accommodation Services, based at the 1US office, will do it’s best to remain open during University Closure days, due to adverse weather. The services offered may be limited but the Cotswold Reception will remain open and staff will do their best to maintain their usual services.
In the event our staff are unable to attend work, our Resident Assistants will help cover the desk. They will assist in lock outs, maintenance issues and any other queries, to the best of their abilities.
Our Campus Support Officers and the Security team, will also be on hand to aid with any issues during this time.

CAMPUS SERVICES – SHOPS, FOOD, THE SU
Many of the food outlets and shops may close during a period of adverse weather or may change their opening hours to a limited schedule. Go online to the UWE website, under Catering Outlets, to see what each Campus may be offering during this time. Check The SU website for any changes or updates to their services.

SUPPORT
Need to Talk? Kooth offer free, safe and anonymous online counselling and emotional well-being support for students. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 12:00–22:00 and weekends from 18:00–22:00.
