Here is the full list of Give it a Go activities for semester two!

Thursday 30th January : Study Abroad - Ghetto Golf

If you’re on the look-out for fun things to do on your door step look no further than this twisted 18 hole crazy golf experience, complete with a cocktail bar, DJs and graffiti artwork. Book your spot for just £5 here. 

Saturday 22nd February - Explore Stratford-Upon-Avon

Step into the world of William Shakespeare and explore the quintessential market town of Stratford-upon-Avon! With over 800 years of history, you can walk the streets through the lens of the world’s most famous playwright spot the Romeo to your Juliet or the Lady Macbeth to your Macbeth?

To visit or not to visit, that is the question!

Tickets are just £13.50 for students living in Halls and can be purchased here. 

Tuesday 25th February - Pancakes at Greenbank 

Nothing stacks up to our Pancake day celebration. Whether you’re strictly savoury or all about the sugar, we have all the pancakes and toppings you could hope for – it’s going to be flipping fantastic! 

No booking required, just turn up, but get there early before we run out. Between 6pm-8pm on both Roscoe and Gladstone and Derby and Rathbone Courtyards. 

Saturday 29th February - Explore Windermere

Hop into the world of Beatrix Potter and take a break from city life to explore the Lake District. Enjoy England’s largest national park, the calming lakes and the picturesque lakeside town of Bowness on Windermere. Extra points if you spot Peter Rabbit. Tickets for students living in Halls are just £11 and can be purchased here

Wednesday 4th March - 'SIX' at Playhouse 

From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic at the Playhouse Theatre to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a celebration of 21st century girl power. Tickets can be purchased from Guild reception. 

Saturday 7th March - Explore York

Take a stroll around the York’s historic, picturesque streets, home of everyone’s favourite pudding. Enjoy a trip along The Shambles and will fill your Instagram with gorgeous gothic architecture, grab a proper Yorkshire brew and explore a brand new city. Tickets are just £11 for students living in Halls, you can buy your ticket here

Saturday 14th March - Upcycling Workshop

Breathe new life into your wardrobe with only a pair of scissors and some needle and thread. Our Green Team will be serving fashion and sustainability realness and teaching you how easy it is to upcycle your items!

Bring along a sweatshirt or denim item to transform.

Wednesday 18th March - Beatles Story

Be transported on an incredible journey to see how four lads from Liverpool went from Penny Lane to worldwide fame. Take a trip, in a yellow submarine, to the Beatles Story and experience Beatlemania for yourself! Book your spot for just £9.50 here

Saturday 21st March - Alton Towers

Looking for a more thrilling ride than the 699? Want to reach heights even bigger than  Brownlow Hill? Enjoy a day at Alton Towers! With a ride for everyone, even if it’s just the cable car, get your adrenaline pumping on our rollercoaster adventure. Book here

Saturday 25th April - Chester Zoo

Are you hooked on Secret Life of the Zoo? Obsessed with tigers, lions and bears? Take a trip to Chester Zoo; home to over 21,000 of the world’s most exotic and endangered species, there is guaranteed to be some animal antics to fill your day – and your Instagram stories. Book here

Saturday 25th April - Explore Cambridge

Whether you’re punting down the river, cycling down the cobbled streets or exploring the incredible architecture, immersing yourself into the picturesque University town is guaranteed to be a gorgeous day out! If you enjoyed our trip to Oxford, why not complete the set and visit Cambridge too!

Wednesday 29th April - Nature Walk

Take a break from city life and join us for a moment of calm in the middle of a busy semester at one of Merseyside’s areas of natural beauty. Exclusive for Halls Students, get your ticket here.

Wednesday 6th May - Shiverpool

Join us on a tour of creepy tales, the city’s unsolved mysteries and hidden histories. You’ll explore the cathedrals, the crooked smile of Rodney Street and the mysterious story of Will McKenzie hidden in shadows of the Georgian Quarter… Shiverpool Tours are guaranteed to be a thrilling good time.

Saturday 9th May - Go Ape

Trek through the treetops, fly across the zip wires and unleash your inner adrenaline junkie at a day at Go Ape. Soak in the incredible scenery of Delamere forest with a real bird’s eye-view on a trip you won’t forget!

Every Sunday : Clubbercise 

Are you bored of jogging around Sefton Park or sick of the Cross trainer?

Bring a night-out to your work out and try out Clubbercise! This unconventional exercise class will have you dancing your way fit.
